Things start looking up, though, when Shelby meets fellow camper (and son of a rock star) Austin Bridges, III. But soon she realizes there’s more to Austin than crush material—his family has a dark secret, and he wants Shelby’s help guarding it. Shelby knows that she really shouldn’t be getting tangled up with another bad boy…but who is she to turn her back on a guy in need, especially such a good looking one? One thing’s for sure, that pesky full moon is about to get her into trouble all over again."
My review : I found this book very interesting. Simply written and with a very good plot.
Shelby had very bad stepmother ( I hate that kind of people) that manipulates her father to send her in a brat camp. She avoided being sent in the red canion camp in the desert, and went to a more convenient one.
She meets Austin who is the son of a rockstar and a werewolf. He asks Shelby to help him steal a special medicine that helped him not becoming a werewolf at full moon wich had been taken by the camp director because he thought it was a drug.
However,in the end she gets sent to the red canion camp for missbehaving(succeded to steal the medicine from the office).
She has a surprise. After miles of running in the desert and hundreds of push ups, she sees a guy wearing a leather jacket. And the only guy she knows to be so crazy to wear a leather jacket in the desert is Austin. And then they fall in love.
I liked the idea of her being really suspicious about him. In most of the books the girl falls in the arms of the guy and than there comes the happy ending. Here, we know that there were going to be problems in the futurewith the step mother and the brat camps.
If there was a series I would surely buy the next book and read it.
Conclusion: If you like werewolf stories , you can definetley try this one. A good book to read near the fire when it's raining.
