I am a Beast.A beast. Not quite wolf or gorilla or dog,but a horrible new creature with fangs , claws, and hair springingfrom every pore.I am a walking monster.
You think I'm talking fairy tales ?No way. The place is New York City. The time is now.And I'll stay this way forever - unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one in my English class cast. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night ? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy who wished you were, with money, perfect looks, the perfect girl, and perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly...beastly.

My review:  I was expecting that Beastly would be the Twillight kind of book. He finds the girl and they fight against the wicked witch. But no. It was a sensible kind of book about how,Adrian ( Kyle ),not only finds out what true love means, but he learns how to appreciate the beautiful things in life.
He lives in a world  full of superficiality and money and where a dress and a pair of heels mean the most to some people.  Kyle was the perfect example of a filthy rich and full of himself guy, surrounded by a lot of fake friends and girls that want him just for his popularity.
His father was a pretty strange guy who didn't want people to know that his son was a beast.
I loved the idea that Kendra (the witch) was friendly with him and the idea of the chat at the beggining of each part and the magic mirror. Also the wish that he made so Magda would be with her family and that Will would be able to see again.
A really beautiful book and a great idea of putting a classic story in these days.
Conclusion: If you want to read a good book, give it a try. I can't wait to read "A kiss in time", the new version of the sleeping beauty by the same author.
